About the event

Tunnel Hill 100/50 has become known around the world as THE place to run fast!

Due to the design of the course, it is recognized as both, a road course, and a trail course. A very fast, relatively flat (about 1400' of climb over 100 miles) route offering just the right amounts of gentle grades.

USATF Sanctioned event with a USATF certified, and ratified course. Set a World Record, American Record, or National Age Group Record, and it will be recognized as such.

IAU has awarded Tunnel Hill the Silver Label, AND it's Trail Label.

We've been very fortunate to have outstanding runners compete each year. A brief breakdown follows:

2014 - Traci Falbo (14:45) sets the American Record for fastest 100 on a trail.

2015 - Mike Bialick (12:52) runs the fastest 100 mile in N. America by over 45 minutes.

2016 -  Coree Woltering (5:30:15) runs the second fastest 50 mile in N. America

2017 - Camille Herron (12:42:40) shatters the World Record 100 by a staggering hour and three minutes.

2018 - Zach Bitter (12:08:36) runs a World's Best 100 mile off road, and the fastest 100 in N. America by 48 minutes (over the 12:56 that Mike Bialick ran while placing second at Tunnel Hill.

2019 - Mike Bialick repeats as winner with another brilliant sub 13hour effort.

It's not just for elite runners. Each year hundreds of runners either set a personal best, or complete their first 100 mile, or 50 mile run. Parking on-site, plenty of well-stocked aid stations manned by experienced, caring volunteers, live-tracking, and an enthusiastic, supportive community all come together to make sure you have a shot at doing your very best.
